12. On reasonable suspicion that any gun is not licensed it may be seized and sold if not claimed
Any constable may seize and detain any gun in respect of which a licence is required to be taken out by this Act, if he or she reasonably suspects that no licence has been taken out in respect of such gun, and if no person claims such gun within 10 days after notice of such seizure given by advertisement posted publicly at the nearest police station in the district in which the seizure is made, the same shall be sold at auction at such police station by the constable in charge thereof in such manner as the Commissioner of Police may direct.
