68.   Inspection of books

Despite the provisions of the preceding section the Registrar may in his or her absolute discretion and without assigning any reasons for so doing appoint an accountant to inspect and if necessary to audit the books of a society or branch at any time and to report to him or her thereon. A person appointed as an accountant under this section shall have all the powers, privileges and authority of an auditor appointed under this Act. The cost of such inspection and audit shall be borne by the Government.
