(1) A person appointed under either of the 2 preceding sections shall at all reasonable times have access to all the books, accounts, securities and documents of the society or branch and any officer or person in charge, possession, custody or control of such books, accounts, securities or documents who refuses or neglects to afford such access commits an offence under this Act. He or she shall also have power to make copies of any book of the society or branch, and to take extracts therefrom, at all reasonable hours, at the registered office of the society or at any place where the books are kept.
