53. Person to whom payment may be made
A society or branch shall not pay any sum on the death of a child under 10 years of age except to the parent or guardian of the child, or to the personal representative of the parent or guardian, and upon the production by the parent or guardian or his or her personal representative of a certificate of death issued by the Registrar of deaths, or other person having the care of the register of deaths, containing the particulars mentioned in this Act.
