21.   Incorporation of society

  1.  

    (1)   On being registered, a society shall ipso facto become and be a body corporate by the name described in the acknowledgment of registration, with perpetual succession and a common seal, and by such name shall be capable of suing and of being sued in all courts of justice and before all magistrates and justices, and, subject to the rules of the society, of purchasing, receiving, possessing, holding, mortgaging, and otherwise dealing with property.

    (2)   The name of a registered society shall be engraved on its common seal.
