(1) A document including a summons, or order required or authorised to be served under this Act may be served—
(a) on any person by delivering it to him or her, or by leaving it at or sending it by registered post to his or her residence;
(b) on any firm by delivering it to any partner of the firm, or by leaving it at, or sending it by registered post to the office of the firm;
(c) on the owner of the building (including where such owner is a corporate body or association of persons whether incorporated or not), by delivering it to the secretary or clerk at the office of that body or association or sending it by registered post to such clerk or secretary at such office.
(2) Any such document may be addressed for the purpose of the service thereof on the occupier of any building to “the owner” at the proper postal address of the building, without further name or description.
(3) The foregoing provisions of this section shall apply with the necessary modifications to documents required to be sent to any person, firm, or owner, and to the sending addressing and delivering of such documents.
