Where a certificate has been issued in respect of an industrial or commercial building which is not in conformity with the regulations made under this Act the Chief Fire Officer shall serve a notice on the owner requiring him or her to make within a specified time such alterations as he or she considers necessary to bring that building into conformity with the regulations, and the provisions of section 11(3) and section 15 apply in relation to any such notice as they apply in relations to a notice of the Chief Fire Officer under the said section.
