(1) Where a copy of a work would be an infringing copy if the making thereof were not authorised under sections 61, 64 and 65 and such copy is subsequently dealt with, it shall be treated as an infringing copy for the purposes of that dealing, and if that dealing infringes copyright, for all subsequent purposes.
(2) In subsection (1) “dealt with” means sold, or let for hire or offered or exposed for sale or hire.
