151.   Obstruction of police officers

  1.  

    (1)   Without prejudice to any other written law, any person who—

    1.  

      (a)     wilfully obstructs a police officer in the exercise of his or her powers or the performance of his or her duties under this Act;

    1.  

      (b)     wilfully fails to comply with any requirement properly made to him or her by any such police officer; or

    1.  

      (c)     without reasonable excuse, fails to give such police officer any other assistance which he or she may reasonably require to be given for the purpose of exercising his or her powers or performing his or her duties under this Act,

  1.  

    commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.

    (3)   This section shall not be construed as requiring any person to give any information which may incriminate himself or herself.
