16.   False attribution of work

  1.  

    (1)   A person has the right—

    1.  

      (a)     not to have a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work falsely attributed to him or her as its author; and

    1.  

      (b)     not to have a film falsely attributed to him or her as its director, and in this section “attribution”, in relation to such work, means a statement, whether expressed or implied, as to the identity of the author or director.

    (2)   The right conferred by subsection (1) is infringed by any person who does any of the acts specified in section 43.
