(1) Subject to section 33, the Chief Executive Officer may with the approval of the Board, appoint at the remuneration, terms and conditions approved by the Board, an internal auditor and such other officers and staff necessary for the due performance of the functions of the medical complex.
(2) The internal auditor shall report to the Board.
(3) Every person appointed under this section shall perform such duties as may be assigned to him or her by the Chief Executive Officer.
