(1) Unless a complete specification is accepted within 12 months from the date of the application, the application shall become void:
Provided that where an application is made for an extension of time for the acceptance of a complete specification, the Registrar shall, on payment of the prescribed fee, grant an extension of time to the extent applied for but not exceeding 3 months.
(2) The Registrar shall, when an application has been accepted, give notice to the applicant.
(3) On the acceptance of the complete specification the Registrar shall advertise the acceptance; and the applications and specifications with the drawings, if any, shall be open to public inspection.
