(3) If a trustee at any time retains for more than 10 days a sum exceeding $120 or such other amount as the Court in any particular case authorises him or her to retain, unless he or she explains the retention to the satisfaction of the Court, he or she shall pay interest on the amount so retained in excess, at the rate of 15¢ per annum, and shall have no claim for remuneration unless the Court otherwise directs, and may be removed from his or her office by the Court, and shall be liable to pay any expense occasioned by reason of the default.
