(1) If any vacancy occurs in the office of trustee, the creditors in general meeting may fill up such vacancy, and a general meeting for the purpose of filling up such vacancy may be convened by the continuing trustee, if there be one, or by the receiver on the requisition of any creditor, and thereupon the same proceedings shall be taken as in the case of a first appointment.
(2) During any vacancy in the office of trustee the receiver shall act as trustee.
