Whether a trade carried on by a wife is carried on separately from her husband is a question of fact. A business is not necessarily carried on separately because it is the separate property of the wife, and she has an interest in the profits; the test is whether she is trading independently of the husband, without being accountable to him for any of the profits of the business.
