520. Foreign insurers
Where a life policy is issued by a foreign company, it is presumed, unless otherwise stipulated, to be subject to the law of the country where the principal place of business of such company is situated; but where a foreign insurer has a resident agent in Saint Lucia and such agent is empowered to issue life policies, any policy so issued is subject to the law of Saint Lucia.
