256.   Failure of purchaser to pay

    If the purchaser fails to pay the price at which the property was knocked down to him or her, the auctioneer shall again, either immediately or at such time as he or she may be instructed, put up the property for sale, and if at the resale the price obtained is less than that bid by the original purchaser, the seller may recover from him or her the difference and the expenses of the resale.
