51.   Making of interim care order

  1.  

    (1)   The Court may make an interim care order in relation to a child before a care application is finally determined if the Court considers an interim care order appropriate for the welfare, safety, and well-being of a child in proceedings before it, pending the conclusion of the proceedings.

    (2)   An interim care order shall not be made unless the Court is satisfied that the making of the interim care order is necessary in the interest of the child and is preferable to the making of a final order or an order dismissing the proceedings.
