(1) The Minister may by notice, if the Minister deems it necessary, appoint a Board of Management for any primary school which is a public school where it appears to the Minister to be desirable to do so in the interest of economy, efficiency, and for the participation of the community in the management of education.
(2) Despite subsection (1), the Minister may appoint one Board of Management to administer more than one primary school if the Minister is satisfied that the general interest of education in the area in which these institutions are situated will be best served by a single Board.
