4.   Registration of dwelling house to be leased

  1.  

    (1)   Every person who leases at or after the commencement of this Act a dwelling house where the rental value does not exceed $2,400 per year shall within 14 days of the commencement of this Act or after the commencement of any lease as the case may be, personally supply the Corporation with particulars with respect to the ownership, location, type and nature of accommodation and the existence and extent of sanitary facilities and public borne water and the terms and other conditions of the letting.

    (2)   The Corporation shall make an entry of such particulars on the first part of the register.

    (3)   Any person who fails to comply with the provisions of this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months.
