(1) At sittings of the Board, the decision of the majority of the members shall prevail. However, if no majority decision is reached, the decision of the chairperson shall prevail.
(2) The Board shall, for the purposes of this Act with the necessary modifications follow the procedure of the district court in civil matters and subject to the provisions of this Act shall have all the powers and authority of the said court.
(3) A member of the Board is not liable to any action for any matter or thing done by him or her in the exercise of his or her duties as such.
(4) An appeal lies to the High Court from any decision of the Board and the procedure in respect of any such appeal shall be such as is laid down in the Code of Civil Procedure regulating appeals from the district court.
(5) The Board shall determine the fees to be paid by parties in proceedings taken before the Board and on appeal from decisions of the Board. The fees when determined shall be published in the Gazette.
