9.   Right of any person to be vaccinated or revaccinated

    (1)   A medical officer shall on application vaccinate or revaccinate any person without charge, at any time and place appointed for the attendance of a medical officer under the Medical Officers Act and on performing the revaccination, he or she shall inform such person that he or she is to attend at the same place at any time appointed by the medical officer, such time being, if practicable, the eighth day after the operation, and that in default of so attending he or she will be liable as in this section mentioned.

    (2)   If such person fails to attend at such place at the time appointed, or refuses to permit the medical officer or his or her deputy to ascertain the result of the operation, he or she shall pay a fee of $0.60 for each revaccination, and such fee shall be a debt from him or her to such medical officer.
