25. Proof of charge for neglecting to procure vaccination of child
In the prosecution of any person for neglecting to procure the vaccination of a child, it is not necessary in support to prove that the defendant had received notice from the district registrar, or any other officer, of the requirements of the law in this respect; but if the defendant produces a duplicate of any certificate respecting such child, or the register of certificates respecting vaccinations kept by the district registrar, in which any certificate respecting such child is duly entered, the same shall be a sufficient defence, except in regard to the certificate numbered 2, when the time specified therein for the postponement of the vaccination expired before the time when the information was laid.
