3. Provision for suspension of compulsory sections
The operation of the provisions of sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, and 21, with respect to any district constituting a medical district under the Medical Officers Act or to any part of it, may be suspended or revived by Proclamation of the Governor General. However, if the period of time during which any act is required to be done under these sections, or any period of time referred to in these sections, shall expire when such sections are suspended, such period shall be held to be extended to the twenty-eighth day inclusive after the operation of the said sections is revived.
