2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“district registrar” mean respectively the Officers appointed as such under the Civil Status Act;
“medical district” has the same meaning as in the Medical Officers Act;
“medical officer” has the same meaning as in the Medical Officers Act;
“parent” includes the father and mother of a legitimate child, the mother of an illegitimate child, and any other person having the custody of a child;
“public vaccinator” means any person whose appointment as such has been notified in the Gazette, and has not been revoked, or cancelled, or who has not resigned;
“Registrar” and “district registrar” mean respectively the Officers appointed as such under the Civil Status Act;
“worker” has the same meaning as in the Medical Officers Act.
