6.   Prohibitions on members, former members and former employees of Board

  1.  

    (1)   A member of the Board shall not—

    1.  

      (a)     be a member of Parliament;

    1.  

      (b)     have an interest in any business of a licensee; or

    1.  

      (c)     do business with a licensee; (Amended by Act 24 of 2019)

    1.  

      (d)     be an immediate family of a member of Parliament. (Inserted by Act 24 of 2019)

  1.  

    (2)   A licensee shall not employ a person who is a former member of the Board unless 18 months have passed since the last day of that person's service on the Board.

  1.  

    (3)   A licensee shall not employ a former employee of the Board who—

    1.  

      (a)     had major duties which included formulating or influencing policy contained in the regulations unless 18 months have been passed since the last day of his or her employment with the Board;

    1.  

      (b)     was involved with an audit or investigation of the licensee within the last 18 months;

    1.  

      (c)     as a result of that former employee's service on the Board knew of the trade secrets of a competitor unless one year has passed since the last day of the employment of the former employee with the Board.
