(1) An international partnership may be established under this Act for any object or purpose not prohibited under this Act or under any law for the time being in force in Saint Lucia and subject to the conditions, limitations, restrictions and liabilities in its memorandum and articles and to the provisions of this Act and the Regulations. (2) An international partnership registered prior to the 1st day of December, 2018 shall not —
(a) acquire any new asset or engage in any object or purpose other than the object or purpose for which it was established;
(b) acquire, directly or indirectly, intellectual property from a related party.

(3) Subsection (2)(b) is deemed to have come into force on the 31st day of August, 2018. (Inserted by Act 3 of 2019)
