(1) Subject to subsection (2), a person who has been practicing in an allied health profession immediately prior to the commencement of this Act who wishes to continue to practice in the allied health profession after the commencement of this Act shall require registration and a valid licence and shall apply for registration and the licence in accordance with this Part.
(2) During the period of 6 months after the commencement of this Act, no action for an offence under section 88 shall be taken against a person who has been practicing in an allied health profession immediately prior to the commencement of this Act.
