(1) A member of the Board is taken to have vacated his or her office if the member—
(a) resigns under section 67;
(b) is disqualified under section 60; or
(c) is absent without the permission of the Board from 3 consecutive meetings of the Board of which due notice has been given.
(2) In addition to the circumstances stated in subsection (1), a member of the Board appointed under sections 59(1)(b)(i) and (ii), is also taken to have vacated his or her office if the member ceases to be registered as a medical practitioner, a dental practitioner or an allied health practitioner registered under the provisions of this Act.
