2.   Times and Places for sittings of the District Courts

The following times and places are hereby fixed for the sittings of the district courts of the State—

  1.  

    (1)   FIRST DISTRICT:

    1.  

      (a)     Castries

      1.  

        (i)     Any weekday (Saturday and Sunday excepted) at 9:00a.m.; the court to be held in the building known as the Court House, Castries,

      1.  

        (ii)     Any weekday (Saturday and Sunday excepted) at 9:00a.m.; the court to be held on the first floor of the building known as Monplaisir Building for the hearing of traffic cases,

      1.  

        (iii)     Any weekday (Saturday and Sunday excepted) at 9:00a.m.; the court to be held in the hall of the Castries Corporation building, on Peynier Street,

      1.  

        (iv)     Any weekday from 9:00 a.m., or at anytime thereafter the court to be held on the second and third floors of the building known as the Monplaisir Building situated on Brazil Street in the City of Castries.

      (b)     Gros Islet—The second and fourth Fridays in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Gros Islet.

      (c)     Anse-La-Raye—The second and fourth Thursdays in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Anse-la-Raye.

      (d)     Canaries—The third Thursday in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Canaries.

    (2)   SECOND DISTRICT:

    1.  

      (a)     Vieux Fort—Every Monday at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Joseph Daher Building, corner of Commercial and Church streets, Vieux Fort. (Amended by S.I.59/2000)

      (b)     Soufriere—Every Tuesday at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Court House, Soufriere.

      (c)     Choiseul—The first and third Thursdays in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held at the La Fargue Community Centre, Choiseul until further notice. (Amended by S.I.212/2000)

      (d)     Micoud—The second and fourth Fridays in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Micoud.

      (e)     Laborie—The first and third Fridays in each month at 9 a.m.     The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Laborie.

      (f)     Dennery—The second and fourth Thursdays in each month at 9:00a.m. The court to be held in the building known as the Community Centre, Dennery.

    However, the magistrates or additional magistrates presiding over the said district courts may fix additional or substituted sittings thereof whenever they deem it expedient so to do.
