An authorized officer may enter during business hours upon any place or premises in the occupation of any trader for the purpose of ascertaining whether the provisions of this Act are being complied with and to search for and inspect any documents relating wholly or in part to the business carried on by such trader in relation to the sale of goods and make copies or abstracts of such documents and take such steps as may be reasonably necessary in the circumstances.
