2. Interpretation
In this Act—
”harbour master” includes a pilot and any person discharging the duties of harbour master;
“leper” means any person suffering from any variety of leprosy;
“medical officer” means a medical officer under the Medical Officers Act or any Act amending or substituted for the same;
“medical practitioner” means a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Registration Act or any Act amending or substituted for the same, and includes medical officer;
“public place” has the meaning assigned to it in section 4 paragraph 46 of the Interpretation Act;
“vessel” includes any steamship, sailing ship, boat or any floating craft whatsoever.
