(1) Every person received into a leper asylum under any warrant or order issued under the provisions of this Act may be detained therein until he or she is removed or discharged by the order of the Governor General, and in case of escape he or she may be captured by any officer or servant of the asylum or any peace officer or other person, and he or she may be conveyed to and received and detained in the said asylum.
(2) Every person who in any way hinders or obstructs any person in the capture of a leper escaped from a leper asylum commits an offence.
(3) Every person who in any way aids or abets any inmate of a leper asylum in escaping or attempting to escape from the asylum commits an offence.
