PART 1
PRELIMINARY

1. Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Data Protection Act.

(2) Subject to subsection (3), this Act shall come into force on a date to be fixed by the Minister by Order published in the Gazette. (Substituted by Act 2 of 2015)

(3) The Minister may fix different dates for the coming into force of different Parts or sections of this Act. (Inserted by Act 2 of 2015)
