(1) There is hereby established a body corporate to be known as the Customs Brokers and Customs Clerks Commission and to which section 19 of the Interpretation Act shall apply.
(2) The Commission shall consist of the Comptroller and 6 other members appointed by the Minister as follows—
(a) three persons nominated by and drawn from the following bodies—
(i) Customs and Excise Department,
(ii) Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority,
(iii) the Ministry with the responsibility for commerce;
(b) three persons nominated by and drawn from the membership of the following bodies—
(i) the Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
(ii) the Shipping Association,
(iii) any association representing customs brokers and customs clerks.
(3) The Comptroller shall be ex-officio Chairperson of the Commission.
