21.   Registration of customs clerk and apprentice

  1.  

    (1)   A person shall immediately register with the Commission in the prescribed form the name of his or her employee who holds a customs clerk licence or an apprentice permit and who is employed by him or her to enter or clear goods or to effect other transactions under the customs enactments.

    (2)   A person who fails to comply with the provisions of subsection (1) commits an offence and upon summary conviction is liable to a fine of $250.

    (3)   A customs clerk licence or apprentice permit shall become invalid upon the termination of the holder's employment with the person who applied for the customs clerk licence or apprentice permit on their behalf.
