15.   Notice to Sewerage Authority by persons intending to execute drainage works

    (1)   Every person who intends to execute works of drainage shall, unless he or she has been issued with a certificate of urgency under the provisions of section 13(2) hereof, give to the Sewerage Authority, in writing, at least 48 hours notice of the date on which such work is to be commenced, and if such work is not commenced on that date an additional notice as aforesaid must be given to the Sewerage Authority.

    (2)   Every person who executes works of drainage shall give to the Sewerage Authority, in writing, at least 24 hours notice to the effect that the whole of the works is ready for inspection and testing by the Sewerage Authority and he or she shall not cover up such work until the same has been inspected and approved by any duly authorised officer of the Sewerage Authority.

    (3)   Every person who fails to observe the provisions of the preceding subsections of this section as regards the giving of the required notices or the covering up of works before inspection and testing by the Sewerage Authority commits an offence against this Act.
