(1) Any person who is appointed to any office established by or under this Order may resign from that office by writing under his or her hand addressed, in the case of the Chief Justice, to the Lord Chancellor and, in any other case, to the Chairman of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission.
(2) The resignation of any person from any such office shall take effect when the writing signifying the resignation is received by the Lord Chancellor or the Chairman, as the case may be.
