Revised Laws of Saint Lucia (2021)

14.   Change of name

A society under this Act may change its name by resolution of 3/4 of the members present at a meeting called for the purpose. However, the new name is not identical with that of any society previously registered and still subsisting, or so nearly resembling the same as to be calculated to deceive, unless such subsisting society is in course of being terminated or dissolved, and consents to such registration. Notice of the change of name shall be sent to the Registrar and registered by him or her, and he or she shall give a certificate of registration. Such change of name shall not affect any right or obligation of the society, or any member thereof, or other person concerned.
