9.   Mode of ascertaining gravity

    (1)   An approved sacharometer and tables shall be used to ascertain the quantity by relation to gravity of all wort, and in calculating the gravity a degree of gravity shall be taken as equal to 1/1000 of the gravity of distilled water at 68o Fahrenheit.

    (2)   The quantity and gravity so ascertained shall be deemed to be the true quantity and gravity of such wort.

    (3)   Where for the purpose of this Act it is necessary to ascertain the original gravity of beer or wort to which yeast has been added, the original gravity shall be determined in such manner as may be approved by the Comptroller and prescribed in regulations made under this Act.
