4. Qualifications of members

(1) The Chairperson shall be appointed from among persons qualified and experienced in the fields of industrial relations, business management, economics, accountancy, law, medicine or any other professional field, of not less than 10 years standing.

(2) The other members of the Commission shall comprise the following persons—
1. (a) a representative of the Government nominated by the Prime Minister;
1. (b) a representative of the opposition nominated by the Leader of the Opposition;
1. (c) a representative of the private sector nominated by the Prime Minister after consultation with the appropriate bodies in the private sector;
1. (d) a person who in the opinion of the Governor General is qualified to represent the general public; and
1. (e) a representative of a Public Service Union appointed under section 5(2).
