30. Member seeking or accepting bribes commits an offence
Any member who accepts or obtains or attempts to obtain for himself or herself or for any other person any bribe, fee, compensation, gift, reward or benefit of any kind for speaking voting or acting as such member or for refraining from so speaking, voting or acting or on account of his or her having so spoken, voted or acted or having so refrained commits an offence and is liable on conviction by a court of summary jurisdiction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both such fine and imprisonment, and, in addition, shall forfeit the amount of the value of the bribe, fee, compensation, gift, reward or benefit accepted or received by him or her.
