(1) An officer of the House may, without an order from a court and without a warrant, arrest—
(a) a person who commits an offence contrary to section 24 or 25 in his or her presence;
(b) any person within the House or the precincts of the House whom he or she reasonably suspects of having committed an offence contrary to either of the said sections.
(2) Any person arrested under the provisions of this section may be kept in custody within the precincts of the House until the Speaker orders his or her release but no such person shall be kept in custody after the termination of the sitting of the House during which he or she was arrested.
