(1) An award or part of an award payable under this Act shall not be assignable or transferable except for the purpose of satisfying—
(a) a debt to the Crown;
(b) an order of a court for a payment of periodical sums of money towards the maintenance of a spouse, a former spouse or a child being a minor of a legislator to whom the award is payable.
(2) An award shall not be attached, sequestered, or levied upon, for or in respect of a debt unless
(a) by order of the Court; or
(b) the debt is due to the Crown.
