1.   Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Standards (Fees) Regulations.

2.   Fees for the application of a licence and for the services of the Bureau

The fees for the application for a licence and for the services of the Bureau under section 37(f) of the Standards Act are as prescribed in the Schedule.

1.   Citation

This Order may be cited as the Standards (Compulsory Standard) Order.

2.   Declaration of compulsory standard

The standards listed in the Schedule are declared to be compulsory standards.

3.   Purpose

The standards are intended for the following purposes —

  1.  

    (a)     to protect the consumer or user against danger to health or safety;

  1.  

    (b)     to prevent fraud or deception arising from misleading advertising or labeling;

  1.  

    (c)     to require adequate information to be given to the consumer or user;

  1.  

    (d)     to ensure quality in goods produced for export;

  1.  

    (e)     to generally ensure the quality of goods and services.
