10.   Power to board power-craft and require information

  1.  

    (1)   Where a police officer has reason to suspect that an offence has been committed against any provision of this Act or of regulations made thereunder it is lawful for him or her—

    1.  

      (a)     to board the power-craft concerned and address such pertinent enquiries to the occupants thereof as he or she may consider necessary;

    1.  

      (b)     to require the owner of the power-craft concerned to give all information in his or her possession as to the name, address, description and whereabouts of the operator and of the occupants of the power-craft at the time of the suspected offence.

    (2)   Every person who fails to give information required by a police officer in accordance with the preceding subsection commits an offence.
