19.   Evidence and hearing in camera

  1.  

    (1)   The evidence of a husband or wife shall be admissible in any proceedings to prove that marital intercourse did or did not take place between them during any period.

    (2)   The parties to any proceedings instituted in consequence of adultery and the husbands and wives of the parties shall be competent to give evidence in the proceedings.

    (3)   The Court, on the application of any party to any proceedings under this Act or at its discretion, if it thinks it proper in the interests of public morals, may hear and try the whole or any part of such proceedings in camera.

    (4)   An application under subsection (3) shall be heard in camera unless the Court otherwise directs.
