Our Role
The Registry plays a vital role in strengthening corporate governance, safeguarding intellectual property, and driving business development. It ensures compliance with corporate and intellectual property laws through the following core functions:
- Registering companies, partnerships, and business names;
- Maintaining an up-to-date electronic filing system for companies, partnerships, business names, and intellectual property;
- Administering annual filings and other statutory requirements;
- Protecting trademarks, geographical indications, patents, copyrights, and industrial designs;
- Maintaining accurate public records accessible to stakeholders;
- Providing easy access to information filed at the Registry; and
- Promoting awareness and enforcement of treaties and legislation related to companies and intellectual property.
