Mr. Leslie Vincent Mondesir was born in the city of Castries. He attended the RC Boys Primary School and later succeeded to the St. Mary’s College. He completed his Legal Education at the Hugh Wooding law School and was admitted to practice law in October 1999. Mr. Mondesir was appointed Attorney General of Saint Lucia in 2021. He is currently in his second term as Attorney General from December 2025. With over 25 years’ experience in litigation in the Magistrates Court, High Court and Court of Appeal and as a Defence Attorney in Private Practice, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.

Mr. Mondesir has acted as a Receiver for an Insolvency matter. He was appointed by the Governor General of Saint Lucia on three occasions to be an acting Senator in the Upper House of the Parliament of Saint Lucia.

As a member of the wider society, Mr. Mondesir has held the following Board appointments:

  1. Member of the Development Control Authority Board
  2. Commissioner on the National Water and Sewerage Commission
  3. Customs Appeal Commissioner
  4. Member of the Saint Lucia Bar Association Disciplinary Committee.
