6.   Power of Cabinet to prohibit the entry of persons not belonging to Saint Lucia

  1.  

    (1)   Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Minister may, for reasons of national security, public health or disaster or emergency or other reasonable cause prohibit the entry of any person who is not a citizen of Saint Lucia.

    (2)   Subject to subsection (1) a citizen of a Protocol Member State shall be entitled to enter or remain for a stay of indefinite duration in Saint Lucia, except where such person is a prohibited immigrant or for reasons of national security.
